Welcome to Gaveston Hall, a hidden gem nestled in the charming village of Nuthurst. Spanning 100 acres of lush woodlands, meadows, and serene lakes, this centre offers a tranquil escape from the and bustle of city life.
Just an hour from London and a short drive to the South Downs National Park you can enjoy both adventure and relaxation. Explore the wonders of nature and discover the enchanting wildlife that calls Gaveston Hall home, from deer to playful foxes and elusive badgers.
Accommodation
Accommodation
Gaveston Hall has a capacity of 90 children plus accompanying adults. There are 2 accommodation areas, The Main House and the Chalets, that are able to either separately house 2 schools between them or 1 school across both.
Each accommodation area sleeps approximately 45 children in dormitory style rooms of varying size from 4-12 children.
Adult bedrooms are either single or twin and are a mixture ensuite or located close to separate adult bathrooms.
To ensure all children feel safe and secure during their time with us, particularly at night-time, we ensure that our Grittleton Adventures staff team are available to provide any support needed. We have a member of our team on call 24 hours a day, along with staff on duty till 10pm each evening to give assistance. There is also CCTV coverage.

Staff Lounge
We have fully equipped Staff Lounge with a Kettle, Microwave and Fridge, along with comfortable chairs to relax in either during or at the end of each day.

The Restaurant
Our restaurant is the located at the back of the main house and serves a selection of tasty, nutritious and heathy meals for everyone to enjoy whilst taking in the amazing views of the back grounds.

We have a full range of exciting activities to choose from - and all delivered by our fully trained and qualified enthusiastic Instructors.
We know how young people really enjoy variety, so beyond our adventure activities, we’ve devised some fantastically challenging problem solving, and team building development sessions. So we get to motivate your pupils and create great fun, simultaneously.

Aerial Adventure
We’ve designed a range of challenges demanding different combinations of team work and independent involvement. Through participation, individuals will also learn support roles such as belaying and equipment organisation. Learning outcomes to include confidence building, physical agility and balance and trust

Survival Camp
Bushcraft and survival activities offer a great opportunity for team bonding and personal development. Students can make a shelter, build a fire and cook over it, explore woodcraft and play woodland games among the trees. It’s a great way to get back to basics, reconnect with nature, develop practical skills and spend some quality time together. Learning outcomes to include survival, personal skills and development and outdoor learning.
